Music To My Ears
“The judgement seat of Christ, which will be studied in detail later, is not a judgement of where the believer will spend eternity, but rather a judgement of the works done on earth. Rewards there will be given according to the deeds in this life. ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness .’ (first John 1:9 ) Christ judges and forgives a person at salvation . The actual judgement takes place at the moment of salvation. Of coarse, salvation can be lost through carelessness or rebellion. But at death, or at the Rapture, one’s eternal destiny is permanently settled.” ~ eschatology: a study of things to come (i’m studying if in case you couldn’t tell ☺️)
When I read this I wondered about The judgement of the works done on earth because when we accept Christ as our Savior, our name is written in the Book Of Life. But the Holy Spirit showed me the judgement of the works of what we’ve done on earth will be like placement in a symphony. Everyone wants first chair, but an orchestra won’t be complete if everyone is first chair. 💞
