Football Anyone?

Football Anyone?

Cowboys and the Packers-

It’s football, not a fight;

Dear friends are sitting together

To make America right.

Both have different views

About how our nation should be-

Each stand for what they believe in:

To keep America free.

Yet what is freedom really?

To force our views on others?

To truly go against what we want …

And hate our sisters and brothers?

Hate is such a strong word-

But isn’t that what we do?

We look past the beliefs,

And hate people for points of view.

Couldn’t we instead be like Jesus,

And listen to their heart…

And make America great again

With a brand new start?

Begin with a game of football-

Or something that fancies your delight;

Become friends sitting together

To make America right.

Eyes Of The Storm

Ανατολή ηλίου (Sunrise)

Ανατολή ηλίου (Sunrise)

Here I lie in the darkness

But I am not afraid;

A mighty peace fills me;

God is in this place.

Here I lie in the darkness

Time says please be still;

Yet my mind is racing-

What’s my Father’s will?

Here I lie in the darkness

Nothing can I see;

Except the dreams that inspire

Jesus set me free!

Here I lie in the darkness

Reminded of my past;

From the moment of birth,

To the very last.

Here I lie in the darkness

Reminded of God’s Truth

That brings sweet Victory;

Now What am I going to do?

Here I lie in the darkness

Watching the Morning slice with Light

Reminding me it’s time to get up

And walk The Path that’s Right

A Generational Treasure

My Prayer

My Prayer
The night is quiet, no one’s awake;

I am seeking You-

So many heartbeats needing answers….

I don’t know what to do.
So here I am when my world is asleep

Lifting up their names-

Praying they’ll hear Your still small voice; That they call You just the same.
For whether we’re sleeping, or wide awake….

You’re with us all the time,

Saying, “child, you can trust Me with this

Because you are a child of Mine”.

My Eyes Have Seen His Glory

My Eyes Have Seen His Glory
The Red Stripes are so heavy,

The cloth just weighs me down;

Grasping at the white threads-

Am I going to drown?

In a sea of blue,

The stars used to shine-

But oh how they have faded;

It’s been a long, long time!

Jesus, help us to find the place

Where this mighty flag should stand….

So freedom can bring peace again

Across our precious Land!

I Can See Clearly Now

Before I was exercising, I was kind of dreading the exercising… Even with Bob Harper. Yet after 20 minutes with him and 10 minutes on the treadmill at 2.5, I feel so great! I thought I had fallen too far to reach my goal that I was so close in achieving a while ago, but fell backwards. Yet now I know I can make it, hallelujah!! I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! Philippians  4:13

Heart Stones To My Pulse

Heart Stones To My Pulse
Still my heart; bring me close;

Turn the volume down-

Chaos isn’t my type of music

To dance around the town.
Let me hear your voice singing

Whispering in my ear;

That you want to be next to me,

So I don’t have to fear.
My hand longs to be held …

And trace the outline of Your Face;

To feel the One Who’s rescued me-

Saved because of Grace.
With You I want to stop the clock

Together, breathe in and out

Too many things pull us away…

Try to drown us in our doubt.
Promise me before anything unforeseen happens…

With everything you choose to get-

That you will never allow the enemy strength ….to fill you with regret.

Saturday Stew 13

Jesus,

You are the Light of the world, for it is so dark here. While You were on this earth You taught us to be light, even salt.  You showed us how to live though our actions, not just by what we say. God, I pray that we can bring hope to a freezing world that is dying to hear Truth.

So many days have been filled with rain, but today the sun was shining here!  Oh it was glorious! I know my friends and I are still rejoicing over this day.   Yet,  this still would have been a day to celebrate, even if the clouds got in the way.  We knew the Son was still shining, we would trust.

How do you ask the Son to shine?

I start through prayer and praise.

Sometime it’s through blessing others with our time. Other times it’s with blessing with a phone call or a letter.  Whichever direction the Lord leads ❤

We just gotta do something:

Flashback Friday 10

My skin was so warm as beads of sweat ran down the sides of my face and the back of my neck. All I could think about was the window box air conditioner that seemed to purr in the cool room while my mom and us kids dug in the dirt. We were to follow a pattern so the seeds weren’t too close or they would grow and choke each other out. But how could she stand here so long? We’ve been out here for what seemed like hours? Wasn’t she thinking about the cool air, too? My mother taught us with such grace.

Grandma was the same way, except we were to gather beans, peas and other vegetables grown in their garden. I remember not being able to wait to get to the picnic table under the large tree in front of their white house to sit and snap beans and peas. They were so delicious!!!

Oh how if only I could flash back and spend more moments gleaning from what Mom and Grandma were trying to teach me, then maybe my garden wouldn’t be suffering. But I am thankful that the sun is shining ❤ Even when the clouds try to hide it…the sun is still shining ❤

If you would like to flash back to another Friday , just search for Flashback Friday in the search bar 🙂
