It’s football, not a fight;

Dear friends are sitting together

To make America right.

Both have different views

About how our nation should be-

Each stand for what they believe in:

To keep America free.

Yet what is freedom really?

To force our views on others?

To truly go against what we want …

And hate our sisters and brothers?

Hate is such a strong word-

But isn’t that what we do?

We look past the beliefs,

And hate people for points of view.

Couldn’t we instead be like Jesus,

And listen to their heart…

And make America great again

With a brand new start?

Begin with a game of football-

Or something that fancies your delight;

Become friends sitting together

To make America right.

Tick-Tock, Will It Stop?

Moments away before we turn a new year;

Walking with hope, ignoring our fear.

Will anything change? That’s up to me-

To make the right choices on how to be free.

I could easily sit in my pjs all day

ordering out; having my way…

as time leaks past… waiting for none-

everyone changes… but I am just one.

I’m safe with the choices that I make;

here in my pjs, there’s no give and take…

but what if I lived through another heartbeat;

Would I be happy? Would I be me?

What would I do? What choices surround?

Would I be lost? Could I be found?

Who would I follow? Who would I teach?

What are the tools with the world I would reach?

My blood would stay red; and as long as I have breath,

what good’s pajamas as long as there’s death?

Is it really freedom in my pjs I ignore,

life around the world, just outside my front door?

Moments away before we turn a new year;

walking with hope, ignoring our fear;

may I open my eyes and open my heart;

live like my Savior from the very start!

Jesus, help me improve lives… starting with mine;

I have to hurry up now before there’s no time.

New Year,New Leaf

I wanted to share that I have lost 5.2 pounds in just one day. I started a new blog yesterday at Google plus. In fact I woke up New Year’s Eve day like at two in the morning and stayed up until like 5:30 Setting this blog up… Well it was the first post. From this I got so excited about finding the new me, which I did begin many years ago, and got lost again. But here I am again with another second chance. And I had to share the good news of being obedient to the treadmill avoiding junk and eating right and drinking a lot of water. It really does help! I will still be faithful to word press, however word press is of other things and I need to keep my health separate. It’s hard to explain but it makes sense. Well here’s to the new of all of us 💕

I started exercising again ☺️ the marble experiment isn’t working alone, nor is the 21 day junk food fast….

Lessons From Hangers

 

1. They have no ears, but two shoulders to carry weight.
2. The bar that connects the shoulders, holds more than just pants.
3. Twisted with no complaints.
4. Their hook, which is part of their purpose, provides great security for the weight they carry.
5. Have been known to open locks and reach the unreachable.
6. They are said to multiply when thrown into a closet.
7. When bent out of shape, they are still used for many purposes.
8. People have cut them into several parts for various needs.

 

What I’ve learned:

 

1. I can help others as I am able.
2. My Core enables me to “do” more than just “be”.
3. I can learn how to be more thankful.
4. Who I am created to be will be used to bring others security.
5. God has used people to “unlock” and “reach” me…I need to be ready to “listen”.
6. I need to spend time in my Prayer Closet, so my strength may be multiplied.
7. I need to realize that through my mistakes, God works to show Grace and Forgiveness.
8. When I feel all is lost…there is still a mighty Plan that includes me.

Me First

In less than a week
countless people
will gather together to celebrate….
yet I must ask, “what is there to celebrate?”
It’s supposed to be 2014,
The New Year….
But what’s different about it
if I am unwilling
to change?

down

Without a map,
I watch
Pen and ink
draw each character
through surroundings
that untangle story lines
as time unravels….
Perhaps one day
I will find you
among the pages
of A Good Book.
