Freedom’s First Flight

An eagle takes flight
by flapping it’s wings –
A commanding
of the air
to carry to heights
unknown to most.
And with a quiet surrender
with feathers stretched out…
Free falling
to the target
the bird’s eyes were on…
securing The Prize!
Carry me
O Majestic Bird;
teach me to trust
like You!
That I might rest
upon the Mountaintop
after the hunt
in the valley ….
