Throbbing head from a fall

Because I couldn’t keep silent.

They were getting on my nerves…

Yeah, now I must repent!

But I’m in pain, I cannot move;

They hit me pretty hard!

Revenge is quite painful –

I shouldn’t have played that card!

What’s this? Ice called “grace”…

I’m to apply it to the pain?

Because God first loved me!

Grace to bring my swelling pride down

Just so I can see.

Perhaps I will share His grace

Then maybe my plank will go away

And I can see The Path to walk;

But before I make a move, first I will pray.

If I Were God

Earlier on the day to Wandering Poets post of him asking what we would want if we could have anything, I answered “time Machine” because I would go back and fix mistakes, like Hitler’s. But I would start with Adam and Eve. That might fix everything….?
But this got me to thinking…. “How would I do things if I were God?” I hope the answer is not based off of how I can’t play video games for long because I die. Even board games like chess, I have to remember to watch the whole board, making sacrifices to win.
But life is real, with feelings and heartbeats….and love. I’m sure that the mistakes that have been made were somehow connected to love in some way…
I am torn between having everyone be nice robots VS having my feelings….. I’m thankful that God is God and I am not 💕

Full Bloom

The sky is overcast with off and on showers. The temperature says it’s 40 degrees but I think it’s more closer to 35 or colder with the wind. It’s supposed to be spring out. Doesn’t that mean the air is supposed to feel more like 60’s and above with the sun shining all the time?

But you know what I saw when I took my dogs out? Buds on my lilac bush! They didn’t care about the cold temps, the wind, the gloom. These tiny buds were doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing along with so many others around the rest of the bush. Which reminds me that I need to keep my focus on what I need to be doing; blooming despite my surroundings….knowing that my petals and aroma will bring beauty, joy and pleasure to someone, somewhere……and especially our Creator ❤

The Medicine Doctor

It has been far too long since I have written a post! Sure, I have posted a few awesome selections, yet….please forgive me for staying away. I have been sick and am still sick, but I have the most awesome doctors taking care of me, along with countless people praying for me, not to mention a TOTALLY COOL God healing me too. As I have in the past, my focus was on my storm, and not on the One who could calm my storm.

 

I have missed looking through your eyes, reading your posts and sharing my world with you. Saturday Stews have not been warming hearts as they should be or Flashback Fridays….those are always fun and too many have passed.

 

You all are such a beautiful treasure worth far beyond any material possession this earth has to offer and I look forward to getting to know each of you as much as I can 🙂

Flashback Friday 5

Here we are with a bunch of most amazing friends having church in the park on a very hot day!  The view was captivating as the music was incredible while we were carried away from all of our cares that try to weigh us down.  I share this photo because when I was a child I used to pick these white flowers up and say my prayer and blow every one of them away…and if there were any left, well I would grab it off and toss it into the air and watch it fly, trusting in those little white helicopters.  Since those delicate moments, I’ve had some harsh realities that crush those soft flowers. But God is so much stronger, for the Bible says in Galatians “1:3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen”  So, as trials arrive, which they will…I can stand confident that I am never alone ❤
