No Thank You

“No Thank You”

“No thank you” is not rejection,

These manners are a simple boundary;

Guarding what is precious to them

So they may live as “free”.

“No thank you” doesn’t mean you’re not wanted –

Though you might see a lock;

This closed door is keeping safe what’s being perfected…

do not try to change The Clock.

“No thank you” will build muscles

Upon your heart; compassion will grow-

When you begin guarding your own boundaries…..

Unique is the Garden we sow.

Pay It Forward

I love this movie!!! A class is challenged to make the world a better place through their actions and a boy starts by helping one…. By loving those forgotten, those most would rather forget.
When his mom finds out, she’s terrified and angry at the teacher, putting her child in danger. She’s been hurt before and wants to protect him of any pain. Yet,  his instruction to those he helps has a massive effect on the world.
What if…. With all the chaos in this world; gun issues, marriage issues, right to Life issues, etc. what would happen if I practiced forgiveness and compassion, instead of hurling insults, waging war, and cutting off those who really need my attention? What if I made healthy boundaries in what I say and do, making time to listen?
