Here is a picture of Pastor Jeremy of Tioga Assembly of God, North Dakota. No, he’s not resting on the job. He’s not putting up caution tape everywhere, telling people to stay out of his space, while he watches t.v. on the big screen in his lazy boy recliner.

Did you know the Crazy Horse Statue is to be completed in A.D. 2050, a project started in 1948. That will be over 100 years!

Noah had faith and built an ark with no means of testing it. He was just obedient to build it..

Did you do here on earth what you were supposed to do for God to do not only in words, but actions?

Your life is a wisp….what are you going to do with the time that you have left?

Abraham was persuaded that God would do all that He said He could do. Are we living that?

Psalm 34:8 “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!”

An impala will not jump where it cannot see where it will land.

Fear of failure is in the news…then we won’t try anything?

He spoke about how “everything’s GREAT, though someone’s in the hospital”, or “everything’s AWESOME, though we fight with our spouse or family on the way”. Our own comfort becomes our own obstacle….to let someone in our lives would be uncomfortable. We don’t open up with Jesus even because He moves us out of our comfort zone.

We stop the action because of the emotion of crying because our makeup will smear, or peer pressure.
The pain of comfort is greater than the pain of change. The pain of change has to become greater than the pain of comfort.

It is work to go to prayer.

We even choose the same seats at church because we are familiar with them.

He’s talked about the time right when we’re getting ready to fall asleep that we get all snuggly and guarded and comfortable. The devil uses everything to get us more comfortable.

In Exodus 16:3 the Israelites complained after all the miracles. Comfortable people will see the miracle, but risk-takers will seek the Miracle giver.

The man who was carried in on a mat may have been embarrassed… but he had friends. The man after working past his embarrassment was able to pick up his mat and walk home.

God has made us an overcomer, a head and not the tail, above and not below.

“There’s no comfort in the cross.”

The Israelites didn’t want any comfort. It seemed they only wanted death as their focus was on the miracles and not the Miracle Giver. We never push through the trial. What if He does something INCREDIBLE for us…even if it meant being a slave, the Israelites wanted food in their tummies. Sometimes God will strip us of our comforts to bring us to where He is.

Living in a state of comfortableness will put you in a state of slavery. God has rescued you from sin and from coming wrath. Why do you want to stay comfortable? What is your comfort?

We don’t like change.

Luke 9:57-62

Our decisions will be determined by one concern: comfort.
