This is a picture of my brother I drew 2 1/2 years ago while enjoying the outdoors. My husband is the charming man next to him 🙂

Gosh, I am in awe of anyone that can draw or paint. My mother could, but silly woman didn’t pass that down to her children, she kept it for the grandchildren to inherit. lol

My mom can sew and crochet up a storm….. I need lessons. I’m sure there’s something you do that no one else can do like you. What do you like to do ?

Well, i do blog and better than some but not as good as the best. I love to paint a picture with words. That may actually be harder than painting one.

Yes 🙂 very true. Do you love to cook or bake?

Yes, both but I prefer baking – just don’t like eating that much. I baked an oreo cookie cake for my son’s 18th birthday. If you view my blog at spotublog.com I put the recipe on a post a couple of days ago. It is a winner in every way possible. I don’t really care for cakes but this one is irresistible. 😉

See that is something on my ” bucket list” to cook and bake well. I’m learning…. But it’s like…..6th grade.
The Oreo cake sounds delish !!! My hubby would devour it 😉

Oh, yes. Just make sure you let the cake cool completely before you put the filling on top of the bottom layer. Last year when I made it it was kind of topply because I didn’t smooth out the filling but this year it turned out perfect. It is yummy. May be a good thing for you to make your hubby for Valentine’s day. Just a suggestion. 😉

Hopefully I can do it the way I see it in my mind. I used a mechanical pencil for all of it then charcoal (first time using because it’s so MESSY!!!)….hopefully it doesn’t smear much when I add colored pencil.

spray it with a THIN coat of hairspray – SHOULD still be able to draw over it with the colour. The colour will likely (if you do not – pick up the charcoal and be dulled.

You know how there are various hairspray holds

Light – but – depends on HOW heavy a coating you want – light seems best – finer texture and not glossy. SPray from a distance.

I don’t want it to move, but I want to be able to add to it, if necessary 🙂

try it on a separate piece of paper first. It is advisable to test everything. You gonna need to use SOMETHING to fix it down with when it is finished – particularly with charcoal

Ok . And maybe my hand can ballerina some green and yellow then let the hairspray drop when the songs done. Do you think splashes of a blue backdrop would add?

My dear – It is the most difficult thing to advise on – as it really is a matter of ones own instinct and feel for what you are wanting to present. I say – try it – if it doesn’t work – guess what – you learned something. Art is not truly about the end product – and to keep it fresh it is somehow best to just go with what feels good to YOU. YOUR EXPRESSION – not mine right. (but – you could always colour a small piece of paper in the blue you would use and hold it near the area you wish to fill and squint to imagine what it may look like 😉
